About the Foundation
The Stony Lake Heritage Foundation was established in 1996 to protect certain heritage buildings at Juniper Island, Stony Lake, Ontario and to protect the natural heritage of Stony Lake. For the purposes of the Foundation, Stony Lake includes what are locally known as Clear, Stony and Upper Stoney Lakes. The Foundation has supported projects include water quality testing, natural shoreline restoration, preservation and/or reconstruction of heritage buildings at Juniper Island, environmental mapping, preparation of a formal Lake Plan for Stony Lake, and lake bed core sampling and analysis. The Foundation is a registered charity (registration #999597283). Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued for all donations of $30 or more.
